According to the 2009 population data, Alicante ranks as the 4th most populous province in Spain (after Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia), with 1,917,012 inhabitants. The Provincial Council of Alicante supports its province dealing with several issues as social affairs, infrastructures, culture, environment or European funds.

The Provincial Office of the European Funds aims to consolidate the Province of Alicante as one of the leading provinces in obtaining and managing European funds and managing European opportunities to contribute to the provincial sustainable development.

The Provincial Council of Alicante counts on previous experience dealing with EU cooperation projects as INTERREG EUROPE WAVE, to revalorize water linked heritage. The Provincial Council of Alicante was the initiator of the project following its aim of strengthen interaction between towns and the EU institutions and create cooperation on issues of citizenship and environment promotin. Due to its experience working in EU cooperation projects, it will lead the project coordination during the implementation phase. It will organize the kick off meeting and will support the organization of the rest of international events. It Will also send delegations of Spanish participants to the rest of international meetings.

The Provincial Council of Alicante will also coordinate project dissemination in collaboration with the rest of partners.

Balkan Agency for Sustainable Development , representing the Municipality of Tran (Bulgaria)

BASD is an NGO in public benefit – a part of network of research organizations, regional agencies, institutions in all Balkans and EU. BASD works for sustainable development and has previous experience dealing with EU projects related to sustainability. Most of these projects were funded by Erasmus Plus program. BASD counts on a large number of national and international partners, collaborating with Municipalities, NGOs, Universities, etc.

This will facilitate the involvement of support entities to the project. BASD is a well experienced Agency that has participated in different Erasmus Plus projects and counts on a long base of young volunteers. BASD will organize the fifth international event in Tran (Bulgaria) related to “YOUTH ROLE IN GREEN TRANSITION”, and will count with the support of this Municipality. BASD will also send delegations of participants to the rest of international events and it will contribute actively to project dissemination and impact at local and national level.

Municipality of Karkag (Hungary)

The city of Karcag is a settlement of nearly 20,000 people in the heart of the Hungarian Great Plain, more specifically of the landscape called Nagykunság region. The concept of sustainability receives special attention in several new projects and investments in Karcag. When investing, we strive to use renewable energy sources whenever possible. Farmers in the area also prefer to switch to organic farming, which uses less or no spray material, thus protecting environmental values.

There are several non-governmental organizations in the city that are interested in protecting and preserving nature, for example, several garbage collection campaigns have been organized. Karkag will count on the support ot the Research Institutes of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The Municipality of Karkag (Hungary) will organize the Sixth international event in Hungary. Karkag will involve its local community in order to reach a higher impact of the project activities. Karkag will also send delegations of participants to the rest of international events and will actively contribute to the project dissemination activities and project impact.

Municipality of Cervia (Italy)

Cervia is a city of about 30,000 inhabitants, is located on the Adriatic coast and has a strong tourist vocation, the city boasts a rich cultural and naturalistic heritage, shows a strong attention to social and environmental issues. The experience that the city of Cervia would like to enhance, share and enrich within the project is the one called Cervia On Air for participation through the radio. The Cervia On Air project aims to involve the population through a traditional but innovative means: the radio.

The radio will be an element of connection between institutions and communities, citizens will be involved and invited to tell about themselves and their expectations and desires. In this logic, the objectives of the GREEN DEAL can be treated and disseminated and become the subject of discussion and comparison among young people and with young people. Cervia counts on previous EU projects experience and it also counts on a environmental department with the intention of promoting local policiers related to environmental issues. In addition, Cervia is working for years promoting social inclusion of its youngsters.

The Municipality of Cervia will organize the seventh international event, will send participants to the rest of events and will actively contribute to the rest project impact and dissemination.

Municipality of Panevėžys (Lithuania)

The municipality of Panevėžys is really keen on European cooperation projects and its benefits for improving local policies and strategies. It has participated in some successful Europe for Citizens programme projects related to the fields of interest, where organisation participated as a partner: “Social inclusion and youth empowerment in Panevezys and Kuldiga” “KNOTS-Knowledge for strength”; “Town Twinning as a Channel of European Solidarity”; “Building Relationships Into a Democratic Goal of Europe”; “SolidaritY iN Europe Rebuilds Global Youth”; “ForYouth”; “Youth For Europe” and more.

Panevėžys is committed to involve and sharie its previous and current experiences related to civic participation and green transition in the project. They have the experience and know-how to organize workshops and creative projects as well as hosting and promoting events and programs to our network of stakeholders and collaborators. It will organize the second event, will send delegations of participants to the rest of events, and will actively participate in the project impact.

Autokreacja Fundation, representing the Municipality of Kętrzyn (Poland)

The Autokreacja Foundation aims at fostering the active participation in a civil society through various initiatives in the field of social economy. We contribute to the civilizational, cultural and economic development of Poland. We want to put the spotlight on problems of diverse social groups that are often marginalized, that is why we focus on cooperation with long-term unemployed, youth from underprivileged regions, unemployed women, eldery people, immigrants and refugees. Many of our projects were designed to favour multiculturalism and intercultural exchange by bringing together different lifestyles, points of view and philosophies. The Autokreacja Foundation has an extense experience in cross-border cooperation. Autokreacja Foundation’s objectives are perfectly suited to the realization of this project.

The organization promotes intercultural dialogue in Europe and between the countries of the region and collaboration with associations from other countries, for example, by Erasmus Plus program. Furthermore, the organization promotes civic participation projects for youth empowerment. Autokreacja Foundation also promotes the development of green projects, promote training and non-formal educational activities to improve youth skills, promote and contribute to reducing the digital divide, develop and accommodate research and experimentation in the field of teaching, and promote and experiment innovative ways to allow participation in the education and vocational training of young people.

The organization will organize the final international event, will send delegations of participants to the rest of meetings and will actively participate in the project dissemination and impact, involving young volunteers at local level.

Municipality of Amarante (Portugal)

The Municipality of Amarante in the north of Portugal, already has vast experience of participation and execution of applications to European funds of different types, both infrastructural and immaterial. This executive believes that it is possible to learn from the best examples and has established relationships with different partners to involve all local and regional players. The Municipality of Amarante counts on a long experience working in cooperation projects through URBACT program. It has also participated in a transfer network called “BePath Net” learning about how to improve urban environment by Bees. Amarante counts also on a notable experience dealing with participative approaches and also counts on very active civic associations and organizations as its Youth Centre that is very active in European programs like Erasmus Plus.

The municipality of Amarante will be play an important role in this project due to its vast experience in civic participation, European cooperation and youth. Amarante is a clear example of how adapt European knowledge and ideas to its local policies, adapting its previous experiences in EU project to its daily local initiatives. Amarante will also contribute by its experience of participation and execution of European funds of different types, both infrastructural and immaterial. Amarante has also experience working with local stakeholders (URBACT program) and it will count on the support of its Youth House that is very well experienced EU youth projects.

Amarante will organize the third international event, will send participants to the rest of meetings and will actively contribute to the project impact and dissemination.

Podjetniški inkubator Kočevje, representing Municipality of Kočevje (Slovenia)

Podjetniški inkubator Kočevje (Kočevje Business Incubator) is a public local development institution, established in 2009 by the Municipality of Kočevje, Slovenia, that helps foster entrepreneurship and help startups with their services and the pool of experts and mentors. It also facilitates educational activities and organises the distribution of knowledge for the general public in the incubator’s FabLab, where people can learn and test-drive newest technologies.

Kočevje Business Incubator is one of the 20 active organisations of the startup-innovation ecosystem in the Republic of Slovenia, supported by the Slovenian agency SPIRIT (SIO 2020-22 project). Kočevje Business Incubator supports development of business modules, production of prototypes and enabling local people to acquire specific skills, such as technical as well as commercial skills. Teaching the basics of robotics and coding is now becoming more and more important part of the educational part of the incubator, especially for the young generation.
